I was going to try and transfer the info over from the AMCA site on Joe's build for this ride but realized I might be biting off more than I can chew. For anyone who is interested you can check it out at.....

I was hoping it may inspire some folks that are building their own bikes for the ride to try and document the build here.

It is a fascinating thread to follow - sort of like the guy behind it - Slow Joe. Looking forward to seeing the final machine on the road from NC to CA!

i'm really enjoying joe's build too.its nice to see a bike built right .just goes to show that parts can still be found,and that given the right type of attention it can be built in a timely manner.hope he posts some more pics here.
