Cannonball Baker
I found this article in one of my old magazines the other night and thought I'd post it. I'm not sure how clear it's going to show up so you may want to save it and zoom in a little and I'm sure you'll be able to read the article.

found this one where he had to turn back going east to west will try to load the rest of the story well I loaded it and now have 2 sizes sorry computor ain't my thing still learning mostly by era, baker sounds like he was a good guy to hang with[attachment=87][attachment=87][attachment=87]

One of the reasons why I have been looking for a front fender for my 1913 Excelsior, is because at some point in its life, somebody cut the tip off of it.
Well, I noticed that the Cannonball also cut the tip off of his front fender. Now I don't feel so bad. If I never find a replacement fender, I can just tell people that Cannonball Baker cut the tip off of my fender for an endurance run. The problem with that little story is that I don't have a very good poker face and as far as I know, Cannonball never rode an Excelsior. |

Cory, thank you for sharing the articles and Indian adds. Remarkable how Baker's 1914 Indian had no mechnical problems.
