Thanks Buck. My 1929 JDH was a birthday present to myself.

I sold the '26 Harley J I was going to ride, and some other stuff to make it happen, but happy to get a real JDH.

No name yet. I was thinking of sending you the '26 but I know you like the furrin bikes and HD is 'merican.

Aw, come now, mate...nothing wrong with a spot of tea after a ride on your Brit veteran. Besides, I could use a good 'merican bike to rest my feet on after a long grueling day. ROFLMAO

RE: Cannonball Birthday
I think you both might appreciate this.

I saw this Harley at a rally in Germany. Got to talking to the owner, who told me he had bought the machine while he was living in South Carolina. (!) "Oh, do you work for BMW?" (They have a plant in Spartanburg, SC.) Kind of a funny thing with the American riding BMWs and the German, a Harley.

Funnier yet were the accoutrements on the rig. The slatted box on the parcel rack may be a bit hard to read. It says "Three Dozen Fresh Eggs". The text wooden box on the sidecar refers to the product of the Hercules company, which made dynamite and other explosives.

Now THAT is a thing of beauty. Love the humor he threw in with the Egg Carton and Dynamite Carton.
