2012 Cannonball
Just wondering if any planning has been made for a 2012 Cannonball. I'm building a 1929 Henderson KJ in hopes there will be a run. Lonnie, any thoughts you can provide? Anyone?
After the first one I thought that might be the and last one for me but it only took about a month for me to decide that I would love to do it again. This time I would hope to do more socializing in the evenings rather than all the wrenching I had to do. While I very much enjoyed the 1915 Henderson experience the 1929 Henderson will certainly take the mechanical concerns down a tad. Anyone working on a project ? I still look at this site daily for anyone posting info. Kris Thompson

RE: 2012 Cannonball
Kris,
My family and I are looking forward to doing Buzz's Ride from Dale's to The Barber in the fall. It will be a nice ride of 150 miles a day with good comaradre at night. You should consider it. The Barber show is great and takes up 750 acres.
Miss all of you Cannonballers! Come to the Knucklehead Reuinon at The Harley-Davidson Museum. July 9th!

The Motorcycle Kickstart Classic should be a lot of fun and all Cannonballers are welcome to join us. No rules, no costs - just fun. We gather at Wheels Through Time on Wednesday, Oct 5th for a party with Dale and Matt. We leave at 10 am Thursday Oct 6 for Rome, GA to Panhead City shop - over some of the Cannonball route by mid afternoon. Overnight in Rome and off to Barber (outside Birmingham) on Friday morning. We might get a lap of the track on our oud bikes and VIP parking. All makes, models and years of bikes are welcome. Kickers in the front, electric starts in the back. Hope to see you there.

Okay, were going to get this site up and going again. I have some photos of my newest creation, (1929 Henderson) however, I do not know how to upload pictures. How do we post pics? Let's see some others as well!!!!

If you make a post, down below the text editing window is a section called "Attachments". Use the "Browse" button to locate the picture on your computer. One you do, select it and click either the "Add Attachment" button.

Assuming your picture is not too large, it should work just fine. If it is too big, you need to find some software to shrink it down somewhat.

Another option is get a Photobucket account, and it gives you links that will work well in this forum.

Hope this helps.

RE: 2012 Cannonball
Count me in. The fine friend of mine that is borrowing me his 27JD to use for 2012 Cannonball actually believes I will give him the motorcycle back after the run. A good machine, just needs some fenders (It's a bobber) and a little going over to be ready. Hoping to see some familiar faces and a few ones on the ride. Yee Haw!

RE: 2012 Cannonball
I hope to have a bike on it too, tons of work yet but I have high expectations. I am planning on going on the Motorcycle Kickstart Classic too - that is if my back recovery goes like I hope.
