Hate to say good bye
After one heck of a great ride and meeting all sorts of wonderful people on this ride it was tough for me to say good bye to everyone this morning. My 1915 Harley Selma, who had performed so well in the first 10 or 11 days of the ride is just all worn out and so am I.

What an amazing event, and what a great bunch of riders, wrenches, and staff. I have made a lot of new friends and learned so much about motorcycles and people on this ride.

A smuch as I would have loved to finish out the ride I have very pressing family matters at home that are pulling me away.

So to all I wish a wonderful end of ride to Santa Monica and I am there in spirit, if not body. Thanks to all who helped me get as far as I did.

What a great bunch of memories and stories to share. I have so much repect for my fellow riders and for these old war horse machines.

If anyone associated with Motorcycle Cannonball would like to stay in touch I am on Facebook on a regular basis.

RE: Hate to say good bye
Buzz,
You're an amazing rider! The iron butt extraoridinaire if there ever was one. I am very sorry to read of your departure from this ride of a lifetime. I have been very impressed with the way you prepared yourself for this event, and how you kept us all on board with your daily logs. Both in video and in text form. Thank you very much!

Buzz: Truly hate to see you leave. I don't think anyone has enjoyed your videos more than I have. All that and to ride too. Well tried, I say, and see you next time. Jim A. Tucson, AZ
