Stage 12 and 13 Team 82
Stage 12 was the most difficult of all., starting off in Albuquerque going to Gallup on route 66 which is in desperate need of repair is like running a bike on a dirt track. Not only was the road bad but we had torrential rain. We were stopped in middle of route and detoured to interstate, the motorcycle was not running well and Paul had 2 side cars following him, running at 42 mph, his back wheel, starts swinging side to side thinking the tire/wheel was breaking loose, he said his butt was puckered like never before. At that time he was able to slow down and pull over, as it turns out he was just hydroplaning..

Stage 13 is over and done, worked on bike most of the night. Off to Laughlin today.. Will post more on it later tonight along with today’s summary.

Your snap at the continental divide graphically shows the fortitude it takes to do this sort of stuff. Of course, I could use (old) age to beg off trying but I never would. If I had a chance to just hang out with you all I would in a heartbeat. See you all in Victorville for the down hill finish!

I just spoke with Coe, they are at a truck stop, the motor is making noises.. Don't know what's up yet.. Although their spirits are high, I can tell they are all exhausted. Let's keep all of the cannonballers and crews in our thoughts and prayers.
