end of the line
With the motor seizing up I decided to call it quits. I had a lot of fun doing the cannonball if only for a few miles. The roads I did get to ride were outstanding. Plenty of great views! The map layout was a little confusing in the beginning but was easy once you understood it, if you didn't have a odometer or speedo (I had neither). You had to be on the ball! Just look for the road signs and you are fine.
I would like to thank all my supporters: The Yankee chapter, M&R cycles,Cycle works, Fast Eddie cycle's, Broken Spoke cycle's, J J associates, Scottie Murnan, Alex Johnson, Chris Knoop and A BIG THANK YOU TO DALE WALKSLER AND CORKY COKER FOR THE USE OF THE SHOPS. AND A BIG THANKS TO LONNIE ISAM FOR STARTING THE CANNONBALL RUN ![]()

RE: end of the line
Bill
Sorry to hear of your troubles, next time. I'm with you in regards to Lonnie and crew putting together what seems like a ride of a lifetime. I wish I could be there. It seems, despite all the bike problems the people along the way have really done their best, and better, to make the riders and their crews very very welcome. I'm following the ride as best I can with the web sites and really enjoying the reports. All the best to you in the future. Victor |

I've already torn the motor down and will use aluminum pistons instead of the cast iron ones.my rear piston over heated causing it to lock up, will continue the tear down and inspect the bottom end for ware |
