Indian Museum To Open 10/10 in Springfield
The new Indian motorcycle museum is planning a grand opening on October 10 in Springfield, Mass. They are inviting all owners and enthusiasts of classic motorcycles - not just Indians - and we have special dedicated parking out front.

It opens at 10 am but they are asking for the classic motorcycles to be there at 9 am.

I am planning on bringing one or two of my classic Indian motorcycles possibly my 1930 Indian Four and my 1931 Indian 101 Scout.

Who's in? Let's see if we can coordinate a ride in as a group.

Interesting. Maybe a potential Cannonball sponsor and stop on the route...? Just a thought.

Cheers

RE: Indian Museum To Open 10/10 in Springfield
If you are interested, here are some photos I took in December of 2009 at the "new" Indian Motocycle Museum. The Indian exhibit is housed in a separate building, but is part of the Museum of Springfield History. That Museum includes Rolls Royce, Smith and Wesson, and other exhibits. And, I took my grandchildren that day. So hurry through the kids and the cars to get to the bicycles, outboards, and motocycles.

If you were familiar with the old museum operated by Esta Manthos on Hendee St., you may wonder where a number of the exhibited items went. You won't be alone.
Well, I mentioned the old museum, so here are some photos taken at Indian Day, 2001, shortly after the Century Ride Home. Esta wouldn't allow me to take photographs inside the museum.
