Rally Roadbook Holder
after much searching i have found out what these are called. these are roadbook holders. google roadbook holder to find more info.they are around 7 inchs long ,by 4 inchs tall. this particular one is made by tourtech , http://www.touratech-usa.com . they are probably the best ones ,but run over 200 bucks. tourtech also makes a longer one that will hold 8.5 inch paper.

this one is made by acerbis . http://www.mx1west.com . its alot cheaper ,and not quite so large,but still accepts regular size paper. about 70 bucks.

this one is really compact ,and holds regular sized paper too. made by a company in the U.K. http://www.oldbikeshop.com . called the "classic route holder" .

here is the one from touratech that holds 8.5" paper. http://www.touratech-usa.com .i am going to use this one as its less than 2" deep ,but still accepts the course instructions we will recieve. at about 5 inchs tall you should be able to read 4 or 5 course instructions at once.

just phoned the guys at touratech. the XL roadbook holder is in limited supply. i bought the last one they had ,but they can order them from germany. takes about 2 weeks. not sure how many are in stock in germany though.

recieved my touratech scroller last night . today i made some clamps ,and painted it up to match my bike and mounted it . nice quality made unit. works great, weighs nothing, and i can read it while going down the road. problem solved.

Just got off the phone with tourtech. They are sold out here in the US and in Germany. They will have to build more and have no idea when they might be available - could be 3 weeks or 2 months. Better find other suppliers.

My cousin is a top notch sheet metal guy and we designed our own rally book holder. The prototype is supposed to be delivered to me today. After I see it, we may be taking orders for some if anybody is interested. I'll keep you all posted. Dave
