Suggestion For Headlights & Tailiights?
Running a magneto powered 1915 Harley I need to get creative about what to run as lights - front and back. I recall something about Lonnie posting he was working on something and would love an update.

I want something clean and functional without making my bike look dorky or unsafe. I'm thinking something new hidden in something old that can be self contained and can be easily recharged every night.

Suggestions please!

RE: Suggestion For Headlights & Tailiights?
i've been looking at http://www.bajadesigns.com . although the website is almost impossible to navigate or find anything ,they do have what i think will work for our applications. they have nice HID lights ,and rechargable battery kits. instead of trying to figure out what will work with what from their website i just emailed them and told them what i wanted ,and they were able to set me up with a rechargable headlight ,with a spare battery ,and a wire harness that will also hook up to a tail/brake light. they dont have any decent taillights that i could use ,but that part is easy. just buy a repo taillight ,and hook up a brake light switch to your brake pedal. i think their light will fit into my stock 1915 headlight shell too. when i get the setup on ,and working ,i'll let you know.

RE: Suggestion For Headlights & Tailiights?
Hi jurassic,

Just a quick note.
HID's have all but disappeared in amateur and pro bike racing. The battery life and weight gave HID's a short popularity period. LED's are now as bright and will burn 3 or 4 times longer and can be set to a flashing mode. The flashing mode would be the BEST during the daylight hours. Also the co-laters
or lens's and LED's are made in very short packages and lend them selves to being placed in very tight quarters with little or no heat.
I am riding a 600 km (378 mile) endurance bicycle race Saturday and will be on the bicycle for about 28 hours straight and my total bike light setup weighs less than half a pound and cars flash me to dim.
There are many brands of High End Bike lights. I use AY UP brand. These are made in Australia

Thanks,,,Alan Travis.
