Any Room For Post 1916 Motorcycles?
What a great idea for those who have the machine, time and guts to do it.

Any chance you might expand this to something slightly newer (like pre-1929) motorcycles?

Not all of us is fortunate enough to own a pre-1916 motorcycle.

hi buzz ,welcome to the cannonball. this run is pre 16 because those are the bikes that never get ridden.and they are never driven any distance. its an experiment really . many will start ,few will finish.

Welcome, Buzz. Did you ever find that Sprint you were looking for?

Still looking for a pre-1967 Sprint 250 for competing in the Moto Giro (as a member of the Team American Iron). In the meantime I was able to find a nice 1955 Moto Guzzi 250 Airone though. Thanks for asking.

I suspect you are right on this. Not that I see a lot of pre 1936 motorcycles on the road either. I was sort of hoping the event would have a couple of classes or groups. Could be pre-1916, 1916-1925, 1926-1935 or something like that. Of well, can't hurt to ask right? D'oh!

The only problem I see is that as the number of entries goes up, and keep in mind that as the bikes get newer and newer the more of them there are, then the amount of support will have to increase as well. The amount of hotel reservations will double or triple, the area where everyone will park at the end of the day will have be increased in size as well. It could turn into a real circus, it it isn't already.
