RE: 2012 Cannonball
I've got my 1929D entered and I got the number 29. I spent the last year rebuilding it, still a couple of small things to work out, but I've logged about 900 miles on it so far. So looking forward to the experience of the whole run.

already changed the bearings in the generator to sealed bearings, the saft in the case to a one piece and put a bushing in the case. That is about all I can do.

RE: 2012 Cannonball
I am in with a 1926 Harley J I purchased a year ago.

Selma, my 1915 Cannonballer from last year, is rebuilt and back on the road but I figure why not go with something a bit newer for the next run, right?

Here is a shot of the '26 "as purchased" about a year ago and not yet running. Lots of mods by previous owners, including a 1929 Harley front brake, British muffler, and non-clincher rims.

It is running now.

The fine friend of mine that is borrowing me his 27JD to use for 2012 Cannonball actually believes I will give him the motorcycle back after the run. A good machine, just needs some fenders (It's a bobber) and a little going over to be ready. Hoping to see some familiar faces and a few ones on the ride. Yee Haw!

You will do fine!

RE: 2012 Cannonball
Lots of luck. Don't have any extra cylinders. I had to buy an entire motor on ebay and some horse trading to get cylinders for my 2 motors. Fronts seem to be the hardest.

Look forward to seeing on the run. Jerry - 25 Harley JD
