Team T-Shirts?

I was at the NYC motorcycle show today and bought a Motorcycle Cannonball 2012 T-shirt from Doug Wothke to help support his cause. His lady friend, hearing I was going to ride a Harley on the upcoming Cannonball gave me some teasing and told me I was finally showing some class by buying a T-shirt with an Indian 101 Scout on it.

I smiled and told her I would put the Indian T-shirt to good use by using it to clean and polish my Harley.

I then told her I also own and love to ride my Indian 101 Scout.

Curious how many other riders are making your own Motorcycle Cannonball team T-shirts to sell?

I hope to offer T shirts, stickers and patches to support Team Boxer Rebellion. I also hope to sell space on the side of my chase Sprinter to supporters.

But this topic (and the brouhaha in Washington over SOPA/PIPA) brings up a question: how much of the Cannonball IP can we use for our teams?

Lonnie told me I could make T-shirts with the Motorcycle Cannonball name and logo on them. And I believe he told others they can too. Yes Lonnie?

i have noticed alot of the riders are using the logo on their websites and some on team shirts. jim ward did the logo for me on the condition that it could be used on anything but shirts unless the shirts were bought from him. which was a fair deal since the logo was nicely done. so i will have to talk with him before i could give anyone permission to use it. i'll give him a call and see what we can do.

As a computer programmer, I understand the need to protect Jim's work. Just let us know what the limits are. I have a friend working on a logo for my team, and I was planning on mainly using that. But if we can use the name an logo, I definitely want to put it on the side of my Sprinter.

Planning on different apparel (probably t-shirts, hats, etc), as well as patches for my rider's jacket and spots on the 28' enclosed race trailer

after much discussion, we have decided to reserve the official motorcycle cannonball logo for the t-shirts that we will sell both here on our website and thru the national motorcycle museum. these shirts will also be available during the event in september.
each riders team shirts will be allowed to use the words "motorcycle cannonball" and "2012", as well as the united states map with all the stops on it. team shirts will not be officially licensed, therefore not allowed to use the official logo.
we are now offering official shirts, banners and large support truck decals. the shirts will be available soon through the front page of the website. banners and decals can be ordered through me. just email me and let me know what you might need.
