I've been around motorcycles my whole life starting with my dad he rode a old vl my first real bike was 1940 ul and that set the pace for old bike's all my fiends where riding shovel heads and some on pans when I saw a 1921 fd at the yankee meet in maine that started the addiction I've been buying and selling for the last 30 yrs, I have bikes from 1902-3 to 1988 with a large gap from 1940 to 88 when I heard about the cannonball run I wasn't sure if I wanted to but something that old and fragile out on the road for 200 miles a day so I decided to build a 1915 hd its coming along pretty good, first part I located was the transmission then the engine came along I all ready had the rolling chassis, then came the gas tanks they had to be made (thank's border mfg) still have to get fenders and have handle bars ordered (thanks faber cycle's) |
